Roofing @ Kam and Jodie's

This weekend we helped Kameron and Jodie put on a new roof. Saturday the boys took off the old roofing, and the girls cleaning up around the house putting all the old shingles in a trailer. After the trailer was full the girls left the boys to put down plywood, while we took the trailer to the landfill it took us a little under 2 hour to hand dump 1600 lbs. of shingles. When we got back to the house the boys had the plywood down and it was getting dark. We cleaned up and went and ate at the pie. The pizza there is so good. Ben and I, Zeke and Annie, Austin, and Kam and Jodie all hit the sack. We woke up early and started working again on the roof. We got one side of the roof all the way done, filled the trailer again, then stopped to eat dinner when it was dark we made Dutch oven chicken, potatoes, and fresh peach cobbler. We said good bye to Zeke and Annie that left back home to Saint George, and Ben and I went home.

On Monday and Tuesday Ben went back up after work to help with the other side of the roof. Ben was saying that one more day and the roof will be all the way done. the house looks so good now. I'm happy for Kam and Jodie it was worth all the hard work.
